So I did my sister's makeup over the weekend for a Dance show she did, and here's how it turned out -

I used all Sugarpill products, and the lashes she brought were Red Cherry, they were massive, made an awesome effect though! :D

I've started work at the jewelery store again, I love it, good fun! I also ended up buying a new car which I'm super happy with, i'm in love haha!

Afternoon Dolls!

So it's Sunday afternoon, bringing my lovely weekend to a close! I spent the day the best way I know how to - shopping! I went with Mum, we went down for a coffee and accidentally ended up spending 4 hours shopping haha! I helped her add a heap of new items to her wardrobe because she hasn't done a good shop for herself in ages. I ended up buying four sweaters, my first ever pair of high heels (I know, I know, but I'm already so tall - 5'9 - that I never needed them. But I love the way they sex up an outfit so I decided to buy my first pair) and some boring ol' hairspray.

Sweaters -

(I had my 9 year old sister take the body shots - they aren't perfect, but you get the idea of how the sweater falls)

These top two ^ are from an older ladies shop Mum dragged me into - I'm glad I went in there now, they are made of the lovliest softest cotton, and are nice and baggy and comfy to stay at home in! Plus both cost me only $18 :D

This cute sweater is from Valley girl - $9.95 - I only got it because I'm a sucker for cute prints, and the little hearts are just sweet!

I had a great day with Mum, we don't usually get the chance to spend time together just the two of us. My weekend ended up fairly quiet, on Friday I spent time with my Sisters, yesterday I spent the day stuck in my novel, and last night as I said in my last post I went out for dinner (got my favourite, chicken parmigana! ♥) and seen Final Destination 5 AND Horrible Bosses! We couldn't decide which one to see so we seen both, Final Destination was awesome, I've loved every one of those movies, and Horrible Bosses was hilarious, I recommend both movies!

Hooray, it's the weekend! I spent last night at home with the fam, tonight I'm going on a dinner and movie date - going to see Final Destination 5, I'm such a sucker for gore.

I hardly ever stray away from my silver/black smoky eye lately so I decided to go golden, this is how it turned out -

I like the change - paired with some gold accessories I'm actually feeling really Summer-y!

one long eventful day

Hi dolls!

So on Tuesday my best friend and I travelled two hours away so I could get tattooed! I love road tripping with my best girl, and I needed her to drive as I only just got my licence back today (yay!!). We stopped about halfway there and some man mentioned to us that the front of my car was steaming and blowing smoke, so we opened it up, and he un-done the radiator cap and smoke went everywhere. We had to wait for the car to cool down, filled it up with about 6 litres of water (it was bone dry) then went on our merry way. I got my stomach tattooed -

Wasn't the most easiest of places but I got there ;)

I also got an Octopus on my arm, but we didn't to finish it as we were running late from the car troubles, so I'll get that completed in a few weeks! Where I got the octopus - inner elbow, that soft part - hurt more than my stomach!

Anywho, on the way home, we got about 40kms away from the town I got tattooed in and the car started blowing smoke again. So we stopped, filled it up with more water than it started going crazy bubbling and steaming, we were so worried we took all our things out of the car and backed away! But it settled down and a nice truck driver came and talked to us about what was happening. After that we had to stop every half an hour so to fill it up and let it cool down - so the trip back took a little over four hours instead of two. Long, eventful day! And now I've got my license back today but have to wait another week and a half for my car to be fixed - that'd be right huh?

Never mind, long day for sure, but I'm glad I had to go through it with Breanna out of anyone, we were calm the whole day, and had a good laugh about it!

upcoming photo shoot!

Hi sweets! Just thought I'd share with you this little snapshot. A photographer approached me over facebook and asked if I would please let him shoot me for an upcoming exhibition he wants to enter some photographs in!

He is wanting to shoot with the same sort of film as this test shot shown. The exhibition will include 13 photos, all life size! Scary haha! I met up with him yesterday at a Cafe and he explained the shoot, it won't happen for another couple weeks until everything is organised though, and he wants me to dye all my hair blonde (so just get rid of the dark under the fringe) and the makeup will be a soft pink lip, cream eyeshadow all over the lid and up through the crease and liquid liner plus some big lashes! I'm excited, it's something very new to me so I'll also be nervous but it'll be a fun experience all the same. I'll post the pictures once the shoot is done too.

So today I wore a silvery grey smoky eye, one of my faves, using

- NYX White Jumbo Pencil

- Inglot White eyeshadow

- Inglot Dark Grey Shadow

- Sugarpill Tiara Loose Shadow (inner corners)

I created the sharp corner just using tape, I seen so many Youtube Guru's doing it so I gave it a go, and I love the look it creates, such a fine line and edge.

I didn't do a whole lot today, applied for some jobs online, a couple of Managing ones because I really liked when I was Assistant Managing at Supre, the challenge was good, so hopefully I get into something similar. Hope you're all having a wonderful week, lots of love

a day spent with a best friend is the best way to spend a day

I spent this morning with my best friend, we went for a walk in the lovely sunshine and ended up popping into the library, Vinnie's, and into the plaza.

Whilst we were in Vinnie's I tried this crazy dress on just for a laugh, but I ended up falling in love with it and brought it! I love secondhand shops, it only cost me $20! it's crazy material and a fun shade of purple & blue -

haha! it's adorable, reminds me of a princess dress!

I adore spending time with Breanna, she understands me better than anyone else, and we always have a good giggle when we are together. I know that we will be friends for a long time ♥

The week ahead I have very few plans which I don't mind, I'm going out this weekend, and getting tattooed next Tuesday which I'm super keen for, but other than that just waiting to hear back from jobs.

hi dolls!

so I received some pretty disappointing news yesterday - my work hours are being cut down to only 10 a week as they aren't as busy as they were. so now I'm left with a lot of free time. it's not necessarily a bad thing now that I've thought about it, and the work wasn't really my thing anyways - all I did was sit around, and emailing/filing/answering phones. I actually miss working in Retail and spending a ton of time with people, so hopefully something like that will come up soon!

anyways, no plans for today but I got dressed up all the same -

hi all! so it's Sunday night, which means tomorrow is back to reality! back to work and all the other boring stuff that must be done during the week, haha.

I had a wonderful weekend, easily the best I've had in a while. on Friday night I headed out on the town with my sisters & Mum for one of our closest friends 18th birthday, then partied up with some of my old friends.

I only drink very rarely, so when I do I tend to get a little silly ^__^

on Saturday I went shopping, again (oops!), and Saturday night I spent watching movies and relaxing, definitely one of my favourite past times. today I went for a drive, the sun was out and amazing today so I also went for lunch at a Cafe that does delicious food, sat in the sun and soaked up as much Vitamin D as possible, then went out to the lake near my house, ate ice cream and went for a scenic walk.

I wore my smoky eye all weekend agaaaaain! it's definitely time for some colour this week :D

hi dolls! i'm in the best mood because it's the weekend, yay ♥

this morning I did a spot of shopping - I'm desperate for some nice new tops to wear for work and lovely summer clothes as the weather gets hotter.

but first off, my face -

I did my lazy black smoky eye again today, I used my Napoleon Foundation Stick & Camera Finish Powder for my face, Sportsgirl bronzer on my cheeks, the black from my Chi Chi palette on my lid and up through my crease, MaxFactor eyeliner and about three different mascaras to work my lashes up! on my lips I'm wearing Revlon Pink Pout ♥

this top is from Kmart - only $8! it was a steal so I couldn't walk out without it. I got it in black also :D

this white shirt is from Valleygirl - $20

i've been tending to go for anything silky and frilly lately, I'm in a really girlyish stage I suppose! this sexy red shirt is also from Valleygirl (I collected it in white too) $15

I also brought a couple pairs of slacks, nothing exciting though.

my everyday face & smoky eye

hullo pretties!

just posting to give you an idea of what products I use on a daily basis - and my easy eye I do when I can't be bothered to do fancy makeup or don't have the time ♥

currently I pop a little Napoleon Foundation Stick underneath my eyes, on the sides of my nose and on my chin when it decides to pop up with some hormonal pimples, then I use Youngblood Liquid foundation and set both with Napoleon Camera Finish Powder.

if I am just doing black smoky eyes I'll use a pink blush (Modelista & Napoleon blush shown) and pink lippie, but if I'm doing a silver and dark smoky eye I'll use the bronzer (Natio).

if I do the silver smoky eye I'll use Sugarpills' loose silver eyedust over one of MaxFactors pressed silver powder, then I'll use black all along the crease and blend it upwards.

if I do the black smoky eye I just use a pressed black powder all over the lid then go up along the crease and blend it out, plus lots of eyeliner!

I am the currently the worst blogger in the world right now! :(

super disappointed in myself after saying I'd start doing regular posts again, then not doing so!

I've experienced some big changes the past couple months though, things are a lot different since I've last written for you all - I am single once again, as of May. I am content on being single at this point in my life, I've kept myself busy doing things I enjoy again and really focusing on myself. I've spent the last two weeks Managing my work, it was intense but I actually really loved the challenge. I think my position will be changing to Assistant Manager now that the Manager is back, which is good news for me! I've been trying to spend as much time as possible with friends, but now that I am single I am realising how hard it is to spend time with people who are in relationships, seems like no one has a lot of time anymore :( all of my closest friends are in serious relationships so it's been a bit of challenge to spend time with them. I've met some new people the last couple of months though so I'm enjoying getting to know them also!

I'll share some photos with you from the past few months, and hopefully from now on I'll catch up on my blogging again. As I said last time, I still read all your posts <3

I briefly dyed my hair bright red - it only lasted around two weeks. It's so hard to maintain and I missed my blonde straight away!

since i've moved!

so i'm well and truly settled back into my hometown. i've been here for three weeks now, and i'm loving being back! being able to see my family everyday, and my family as often as i like is a happiness i'm please to have back.

i started work the second week in, just doing some Administration work for the company my Mum is currently managing. it's easy work and good money and i was happy to settle into a job straight away instead of having to stress about finding one.

i ended up getting my other thigh tattooed the first week i arrived back, and i am getting it coloured this Friday, excited!

my tattooist has some fun colour ideas in mind, the rose will be purple and the skull a peachy colour. my sister is also coming on Friday and getting her first tattoo, i'm excited for her!

James visited the second week, it was good to have a bit of familiarity. i won't see him now for another two weeks or so, long distance sucks :(

other than that i haven't been up to too much, i shall post some make-up and beauty related posts very soon!

not in the emotional sense! i got my hair done the other day by my friend Annette, she is actually going in a hair competition and i was one of the hair models >_<
we did the photo shoot today in my lunch break, she did my hair in a fun mohawk. hopefully i can get my hands on some of the pictures to show you all.

for work at the clothing store, we currently have a Safari theme. meaning we have to wear our main focus clothes and jewellery/makeup/hair has to be somewhat 'Safari' too.

i usually go with black or brown smokey eyes, add a little bronze to the cheeks and some gloss on the lips and i'm good to go!
i'm working a fair lot in the upcoming week, at both stores, i am looking forward to being busy :)!

hi strangers! long time no talk.
i had a little break from blogging over Christmas, i'm ready to get back into it now though!
i missed you all, and i have still been reading your posts >_<>i adore it. it took close to 7 hours but it was well worth it :D
i also got the script 'love it enough' above my knees. somewhat of a 'love conquers all' quote!

i went home over Christmas and spent time with my amazing family and friends. i dare say i will move home soon, now that my course has ended. i think i will work a little longer because of the great opportunities that have risen with my new jobs and save up some money, then i'll head back home :)

i cut all my hair off recently and it's a white blonde colour now too. this is when i first cut it, it's quite short as you'll see;

what i've been up to -

got my hair did. yep, again!
i got over excited and bleached the ends too much so i had to cut a little off :( but i decided to continue with some bright colour and got this gorgeous copper colour :D

had my gel toes re done. i honestly can't recommend this enough. the gel stays on for weeks and weeks, it doesn't chip or fade. it's easy to remove too, just by filing off.

study, study... more study :(
with only five weeks left after this week, the term is swinging by fast. i have a zillion assignments to do though, stressful!

i also started paid work this week, at Muffin Break :D
tomorrow i'm working there 9-2, then at the Salon 2-8, hectic day!

so as promised, here's a little geeze at my new hairdo ;

i don't know why randomly i decided to do it, but i'm glad i did :) the only problem will be when i want to grow it back! i'll have to flip some hair over to cover the awkward length haha.

it's a little different, i think i still look girly though. the rest of my hair is the same length it was before, i'm considering cutting it into a somewhat asymmetrical style though, yes or no?

this busy week of mine in short is going to include
- being busybusy with all these Tafe assignments. cut us some slack, it's only the first week back! (hey, i can rhyme :D) we've got to do the Makeup Portfolio, Clinic in Class (includes clients coming in and us performing a range of treatments, we have to do so many of each), Online Assessments, Facial Case Studies & Cosmetic Chemistry. arghh!

- moving out to my Dad's farm. it's really gorgeous out there and i'm quite excited :D the only thing i'm not looking forward to is packing and un-packing, such a drag.

- work experience 9am - 7pm tomorrow, and 9am - 5:30 Friday, i still have like 100 hours to fit in within 7 weeks! 200 hours is insane.

so for our Tafe Design & Apply Makeup class (+ Photographic Makeup) we have to create a portfolio including looks such as - Fantasy, Photographic, Black & White, Evening, Romantic, Cool, & Warm.
yesterday I had a go at doing my Cool tones look. Cool makeup shades are those that have more of a blue undertone (rather than yellow) — including silver. My favorite cool looks include pink lips and blue or silver smoky eyes.

i was inspired by the Kim Kardashian Smokey Eye video i seen on Youtube, in which her makeup artist makes her over with a gorgeous dark blue/purpley eye.. i recreated my own, a little more toned down though as i did it whilst i was on holidays and didn't want to look over done + it was way too hot to be spending a long time on my makeup!

next time i have a play with this look i wont bring the purple so far down on the lid, i'll leave it more a neutral colour and bring the colour higher up towards the brow :)

hey dolls!
i've been really slack with blogging lately, i do apologise.

i'm going away to Queensland this Friday for two whole weeks, i'm excited! i just went and got most of the beauty products i'll need whilst i'm away-

Dove moisturizer, Tresemme Conditioner, Johnson's facial cleansing wipes (the best!) new exfoliating gloves & St Ives Apricot face scrub.

i'm going to do alottt of shopping while i'm there so be prepared for a big haul. i'm always going to Dreamworld theme park, so exxxcited!

i got my hair done at Tafe today, i dyed the top dark brown, then the bottoms a lighter brown to get that Ombre look, inspired by the one and only LLYMLRS of course! these photos don't do the justice of how good the gradient of colour looks in real life!

after seeing Jennie's post with her amazing beautiful long hair i've been inspired to let mine keep growing!

the lovely people over at Eyeko were nice enough to send me some fun products to review and play with! lucky Michelle @ daisybutter is interning over at Eyeko and it was her job to email some bloggers with the offer of trying out some of Eyeko's products. I was really pleased when I got the email, and really appreciated that she thought of me!

they sent me over-

Eyeko Rain Polish, Eyeko Lilac Polish & Eyeko Indigo Polish

i would of picked all these polish's for myself, so good guess on colours by Eyeko! the consitency of the polish are amazing! not too thin and runny & not too thick nor clumpy.
one coat of these varnishes is more than enough but two gives it a really nice thick coverage.

the Rain Polish looks somewhat gray in the bottle but comes out on the nail as a gorgeous light blue almost light turquoise colour.
the Lilac Polish is the perfect lavender colour and i'd wear it in both summer and winter, it really compliments the hands.
the Indigo Polish is for sure my favourite! the colour of this polish i'd describe as a gorgeous midnight sky, and when in the sun it sparkles! so gorgeous. this polish i found a little harder to apply, perhaps it was just me though!

they also sent me an Eyeko Graffiti Eyeliner Pen, i put it on as soon as i got home as i was already wearing a purple shadow, it went together brilliantly. i lined the upper lashline, i only applied it once over, obviously it needs another going over to make it stand out a little more-

i was still quite pleased with how it looked. i love Eyeliner pens, i find them much easier to apply then a liquid brush, my hand seems to go much steadier!
i always find that using a liner on the upper lashline gives a much more finished look to the eye, and having fun colours like Purple & Blue can really jazz up a simple eye.
i love the Eyeliner pens, honestly can't recommend them enough.

hello buttercups!

so today is Monday, i actually love Monday's - reason being we have makeup class :D
i took a before and after photo of my friend Jess who i did make-up on ;

i used all YoungBlood products, she's got a liquid base with setting powder, blush, lip pencil, lip gloss, & 4 different loose eyeshadows on.
and here's some pictures of me and jess;

all in all, pretty fun day :D
i'm super excited for this weekend cos i get to see my little sister, my mum's meeting me halfway between here and my hometown and i get to keep here for the weekend :D
and i'm going to Queensland in two and a half weeks, yay!

hello lovelies.
i got the rest of my Sugarpill♥ makeup that i ordered online yesterday, i'm so happy, i waited about 4 weeks & got really impatient! i had a play with the green's this morning and this is what i ended up with-

i honestly can't recommend Sugarpill products enough, they are beautiful, bright colours, so rich on pigment and very affordable too.
on my eyes i used-
Sugarpill pressed eyeshadow- Midori (on the lid)
Sugarpill loose eyeshadow - Junebug (crease & blended upwards)
