a day spent with a best friend is the best way to spend a day

I spent this morning with my best friend, we went for a walk in the lovely sunshine and ended up popping into the library, Vinnie's, and into the plaza.

Whilst we were in Vinnie's I tried this crazy dress on just for a laugh, but I ended up falling in love with it and brought it! I love secondhand shops, it only cost me $20! it's crazy material and a fun shade of purple & blue -

haha! it's adorable, reminds me of a princess dress!

I adore spending time with Breanna, she understands me better than anyone else, and we always have a good giggle when we are together. I know that we will be friends for a long time ♥

The week ahead I have very few plans which I don't mind, I'm going out this weekend, and getting tattooed next Tuesday which I'm super keen for, but other than that just waiting to hear back from jobs.

what a way to start the week

hi dolls!

so I received some pretty disappointing news yesterday - my work hours are being cut down to only 10 a week as they aren't as busy as they were. so now I'm left with a lot of free time. it's not necessarily a bad thing now that I've thought about it, and the work wasn't really my thing anyways - all I did was sit around, and emailing/filing/answering phones. I actually miss working in Retail and spending a ton of time with people, so hopefully something like that will come up soon!

anyways, no plans for today but I got dressed up all the same -

I applied for a few jobs yesterday - one for Manager at Supre (where I was working before I moved) and one for Casual at Diva (where I also worked!) so I hopefully have a good chance getting one of those, fingers crossed! anyways, I'll keep you all posted Xx

my lovely weekend

hi all! so it's Sunday night, which means tomorrow is back to reality! back to work and all the other boring stuff that must be done during the week, haha.

I had a wonderful weekend, easily the best I've had in a while. on Friday night I headed out on the town with my sisters & Mum for one of our closest friends 18th birthday, then partied up with some of my old friends.

I only drink very rarely, so when I do I tend to get a little silly ^__^

on Saturday I went shopping, again (oops!), and Saturday night I spent watching movies and relaxing, definitely one of my favourite past times. today I went for a drive, the sun was out and amazing today so I also went for lunch at a Cafe that does delicious food, sat in the sun and soaked up as much Vitamin D as possible, then went out to the lake near my house, ate ice cream and went for a scenic walk.

I wore my smoky eye all weekend agaaaaain! it's definitely time for some colour this week :D

friday face & and some lovely purchases

hi dolls! i'm in the best mood because it's the weekend, yay ♥

this morning I did a spot of shopping - I'm desperate for some nice new tops to wear for work and lovely summer clothes as the weather gets hotter.

but first off, my face -

I did my lazy black smoky eye again today, I used my Napoleon Foundation Stick & Camera Finish Powder for my face, Sportsgirl bronzer on my cheeks, the black from my Chi Chi palette on my lid and up through my crease, MaxFactor eyeliner and about three different mascaras to work my lashes up! on my lips I'm wearing Revlon Pink Pout ♥

this top is from Kmart - only $8! it was a steal so I couldn't walk out without it. I got it in black also :D

i've been tending to go for anything silky and frilly lately, I'm in a really girlyish stage I suppose! this sexy red shirt is also from Valleygirl (I collected it in white too) $15

obviously I'd wear a bra under this - it's just for showing purposes haha. pink silky shirt from Cotton On - $15

I also brought a couple pairs of slacks, nothing exciting though.

now I'm off to spend the afternoon in the sun reading gossip magazines and painting my nails, I wish you all a wonderful weekend xoxo

my everyday face & smoky eye

hullo pretties!

just posting to give you an idea of what products I use on a daily basis - and my easy eye I do when I can't be bothered to do fancy makeup or don't have the time ♥

currently I pop a little Napoleon Foundation Stick underneath my eyes, on the sides of my nose and on my chin when it decides to pop up with some hormonal pimples, then I use Youngblood Liquid foundation and set both with Napoleon Camera Finish Powder.

if I am just doing black smoky eyes I'll use a pink blush (Modelista & Napoleon blush shown) and pink lippie, but if I'm doing a silver and dark smoky eye I'll use the bronzer (Natio).

if I do the silver smoky eye I'll use Sugarpills' loose silver eyedust over one of MaxFactors pressed silver powder, then I'll use black all along the crease and blend it upwards.

if I do the black smoky eye I just use a pressed black powder all over the lid then go up along the crease and blend it out, plus lots of eyeliner!

I know it's Tuesday already, and this post was meant for Sunday, but I couldn't seem to find my camera cord the past few days! I finally found it hidden away, so here's my outfit from Sunday - better late than never ;D

we had some lovely sunny weather over the weekend, lately it can't decide what it wants to be - it'll be rainy and miserable one day then sunny and beautiful the next! I'm counting down the days until Spring and Summer arrive ♥

back again!

I am the currently the worst blogger in the world right now! :(

super disappointed in myself after saying I'd start doing regular posts again, then not doing so!

I've experienced some big changes the past couple months though, things are a lot different since I've last written for you all - I am single once again, as of May. I am content on being single at this point in my life, I've kept myself busy doing things I enjoy again and really focusing on myself. I've spent the last two weeks Managing my work, it was intense but I actually really loved the challenge. I think my position will be changing to Assistant Manager now that the Manager is back, which is good news for me! I've been trying to spend as much time as possible with friends, but now that I am single I am realising how hard it is to spend time with people who are in relationships, seems like no one has a lot of time anymore :( all of my closest friends are in serious relationships so it's been a bit of challenge to spend time with them. I've met some new people the last couple of months though so I'm enjoying getting to know them also!

I'll share some photos with you from the past few months, and hopefully from now on I'll catch up on my blogging again. As I said last time, I still read all your posts <3

I briefly dyed my hair bright red - it only lasted around two weeks. It's so hard to maintain and I missed my blonde straight away!
